Training & Research

I am always interested in creating/delivering training and will be happy to discuss with you how I can best meet your requirements.

I have written and presented a wide variety of training, including a module in a university-accredited Care Certificate, and I contributed to an award-winning booklet for carers.

I am passionate about increasing access to therapies for people in care homes and improving care across the health and social care boundary. Working within a care home as a well-being coordinator provided me with insight into these challenges and I hope to explore the management of swallowing difficulties within care homes in future research.

I have published in Bulletin (the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists' magazine) and have an active interest in research. I undertook the National Health Institute for Research Integrated Clinical Academic Pathway (ICAP) Internship in 2019/2020, and completed modules in Mixed Methods Research and Qualitative Research at the University of Brighton.

I was one of the 2018 advocates on the NHS Improvement/AHPs4PH programme (Allied Health Professions for Public Health). I delivered a quality improvement project focusing on the management of older people with swallowing difficulties in care homes. I am a member of the Q Community (Health Foundation).
